During the current difficult times Dursley Lions have continued to make donations & provide services in support of local organisations …..Including
Home Start, a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children through their challenging times.
Uley lantern festival, a gathering on the Uley Millennium Field replacing the usual Firework Display. It followed a procession featuring Lanterns made by the participants and provided a local community event.
Dursley Community Food Hub, is an initiative which grew out of Dursley Tabernacle’s desire to help encourage a sense of community, prevent food waste and meet local need.
Parent & Carer Alliance which provides support with advice and help to people who care for and support a child or young person who is differently abled.
The Ukraine Appeal with a cash donation as well as collecting donated items and transporting them to the Gloucester Ukraine Church of the Good Shepherd in Gloucester.
The Quarry Chapel, with a donation towards the provision of a disabled toilet.
GL11, with donations towards their general funding.
In Total Dursley Lions have given away £16,600 in the last 18 months!!
And Dursley Lions are still running the Message in a Bottle scheme locally.

Lions Queens Jubilee Tree planting
Dursley Lions, Ably assisted by 649 Dursley ATC, Staff and pupils from Cam Hopton, Cam Everlands, Cam Woodfields and Dursley Highfields schools, Plant 70 trees in land provided by Stoud district council adjacent to Harrolds close. To commemorate the late Queen Elizabeths Jubilee year
Dursley Lions Celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III
Despite the rain Dursley Lions provided a Barbeque in Parsonage Street during the Coronation Celebrations, sheltering under the Lions Gazebo.
Lions John Toffi, Brian Shepard and Paul Chamberlain were resolutely cheerful all day!!
